Also with this eng i have to replace the plugs mid way thru the season when the eng gets harder to start its time to replace plugs??? any one else find this true???

Chip at Harbin Marine in Lorton is the best Merc guy on the East Coast. he can fix it.

Re: plugs - a usually pull plugs half way thru the season and clean them w/ solvent and fine steel wool. Motor runs great after that.

Agree with 31, Chip at Harbine can do it. I had a 90 Merc before and never had an issue. It is a 2001 and my buddy is still running it. Shouldn't have to replace plugs but once every couple of years.
