New guy here.

Moved to Arlington, NoVa a few years ago and just decided to get back into fishing.

Lived in Missouri a few years back where I fished 4 or more days a week.

I got the bug in me again after fishing a few resorvoirs in PA and just discovered Burke, Accotink, Occoquan, and Lunga.

I am hooked once again so I thought I'd join here and make a few fishing buddies to share stories, tips, etc.

Nice to meet you all.

Thanks Jay.

I've been reading up on Anna and would love to give that a shot.

I did my first VA fishing outings this weekend, Saturday at Accotink and Sunday at Burke.

Not a whole lotta luck, mostly baby bass, but I'm looking forward to getting to know some of these lakes better and finding the hot spots.

Used Texas and Carolina rigs mostly.

Anyone know where to pick up live bait around Burke?

Welcome Chris B....from Burke go on down Rt. 123 South to the end and make a right turn on Rt. 1 into Woodbridge. Dawson's about 2 miles on the right has live bait.

Thank you sir.

I like to get a live minnow sitting out on one rod while I work lures with another.

The minnows at the Burke Lake boat rental were beyone tiny and not worth the trouble.

Welcome, Chris. Good people here on this board. Must get you out for one of the VA-O events. Think the next one is set of 20 JUN at Lake Anna. You'll want to spend some time there. A very special body of water.

Also need to get out on the Potomac. A real treasure. once you've been out there you'll be hooked for sure.

Welcome from the Hawgman, the Kinami's are made by Gary Yamamoto's son. Try the chartruse and pearl for BIG fish./tu/

Gold Forum thingy will show up in a day or two.

Other good Kinami colors are: natural shad, baby bass, moss green, oxblood. Yep - they're cheaper but you only get 7 in a pkg. Gotta do the math thing when comparing them to senkos (10 per pkg).

Only thing I've ever caught on the chartreuse on pearl is my labrador retriever. He luvs those things.
