View Full Version : Gilligan's Island

This is for our slatwater friends...Jay and Rick ......and maybe a few others if the shoe fits......ENJOY and laugh a little.

(To the tune of the "Gilligans Island" theme song.)

Just sit right back and you'll here a tale,
A tale of a hopeful trip
That started out as "slatwater chat",
Aboard a tiny ship.

JayT (Gilligan) was a mighty boating man,
Rick (the skipper)...brave and sure.
Five passengers set off that day,
For an offshore wreck tour, an offshore wreck tour.

The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the drunken crew,
All their minnows would be lost, their minnows would be lost.

The boat set ground on the shore of a dry and beerless isle,
With Gilligan
The Skipper too,
Squire and Yes Sir,
Striper & Gofishoninva (or whatever),
Here on Gilligans Isle.

So this is the tale of the "Slatwater Guys"
They're here for a long, long time
They'll have to make the best of things,
Cause there's NO Corona & Lime.

The first mate and the skipper too,
Will do their very best.
To make the others miserable,
And to hell with the rest.

No booze, No whollo, No MaryAnn,
Not single luxury.
Like Dirtman Larry,
As primitive as can be.

So join us here each week VAO friends,
You're sure to get a smile.
From Jay and Rick's Craigslist finds,
Here .....on....."Gilligan's Isle".
