Hey Folks,
New to the Forum and thought I'd share a great way to cook up a baked potato. My late cousin used to make 'em this way and they were always a hit. Basic variation on the old theme is to cut the big spud length ways right down the middle deep enough to where it's almost in two halves. Spread it open and add two 1/4" slices of onion. Close 'er up and take a thick slice of bacon and wrap it along the cut. DOUBLE wrap in aluminum foil and bake at 425 for an hour. If you don't double wrap it, you'll have a lot of smoke from the bacon grease and be careful unwrapping the finished product cause it'll be real, real hot. Dats it !!! Throw some salted butter and real sour cream on it and you'll not worry so much about that overdone steak. Nut |

Hey Nut.... fancy running into you here. With all this snow, are you ready to move back to Texas yet?
