I'm glad I stayed for weigh in, because with my day I was wondering if there were any fish on the lake

    Congats to all.

I'm still pretty bummed with my day and the poor start I had with the burnt up bearing. Since we've been talking it up for over a month about this tournament, it was a very dissapointing start and end to my day. Fortunately, I was able to get my boat/trailer from the McD's there at Thornburg over to an open service station just down the road. Using the bearing pack from Sturgeon, they got my trailer fixed back up and I was back on the road by about 10am. I contemplated coming back down to the ramp and fishing it out, but figured I shouldn't push my luck and should go home and spend the day with my boys.

It was certainly good to see all of y'all Saturday morning, and I'm sorry if I didn't get the chance to meet some of you newer folks. I was a little distracted given the situation.

Big time thanks to Cambell at SCM who helped me with the parts I needed, the Shell station that was open, and especially to 31Airborne for hanging out and helping when he could have been fishing. There was open boat he could have fished in, and despite a 2.5 hour drive to get to the lake, he stuck with me and made sure I was able to get the boat fixed before heading home another 2.5 hours. Not a lot of folks would have done that and certainly speaks to his character as person.

Thanks again Brian, and I'll say sorry again too.
    Wishin' I was fishin'...
