    Default FOM-Team Williams-Potomac

First off I want to say thank you to Airborne31(Brian) for sharing a great message at the fri. night meeting. You delivered it well, it was down to earth and it was something we could all relate too. It was a perfect fit to the FOM circuit. Great, great job.

Dad and I drew boat 39. We got there plenty early with hopes of avoiding the big croud at the ramp. We were sitting in the boat early watchin them put in. Job one done well. Well, with us getting up earlier than normal for these(we normally stay in town somewhere, we drove from richmond) I had to drink more coffee than usual. Uh-oh, what was that stomach?? no, not now!!! So with blast off nearing, I race to the bathroom. Boy I was not ready for that. It is amazing what a bunch of fisherman with too much coffee and the pre-tournament jitters can do to a bathroom!!! Whoa!!! Now on to the fishing. We dicided o spend the day in Mattawoman to give ourselves more fishing time and less running time in my boat(60hp for those who dont know). Found a fluke bit over the grass first thing. Put a limit in the boat within 45 min. Sun got up and we started flipping. We caught fish flipping all day just no toads. We caught a ton of fish, 30+, just kept cycling through the 2 pounders. Flipping was our pattern. Finished 30th with 11.86lbs. I was happy to spend the day with my Dad and we both had a good time catching fish.
You cant catch'em if your baits not in tha water.
