    Default Trailer Oil Hubs: Question

So, the mechanic says I have water in 2 of my hubs and need to have them drained and maybe new seals put on. I get it.

    Now, my question is this:

How does water get in to the oil hubs, yet, the oil doesn't leak out? Is it from being fairly warm from driving to the ramp and the sudden cooling of dunking it in the water cause a pull of water in as the oil suddenly cools?

    thanks....
    cheers,
    Steve

No maybe about the seals. You need to have new seals installed. JMO. Races and bearings should be inspected also for burning or corrosion

it could be pressure differential thing. if the oil is heated and expanded then makes contact with the cool water it could contract fast enough to create a vacuum and pull water in.

We are told that we shouldn't judge all Muslims by the actions of an extreme few. Why can't we offer millions of law-abiding American gun owners the same consideration?
