    Default confused catfish?

I know this is getting to be the time of year to expect anything, and with the snakehead problem I was, except this. Southeast side of fairfax yacht club docks, 1130am monday I caught a 10# or more cat off of a dual blade spinner about a foot from the top, and it was a jumper. Def exciting but not what I was expecting on the other end. The catfish im used to are heavy lazy bottom feeders.. Is it the baitfish that gets them going like this?

catfish get a bad rap for being lazy slobbery bottom feeders. All it takes is one night on the James mid summer and you'll know thats a lie. Only takes a 70lber clearing water through a school of shad to realize they are aggressive.
