Default Food plots with no equipment

I wish I would have tried this, this year. It's too late for radishes already this year, but I might try it with Rye. This video basically show broadcasting seed into harvest corn. All of the farmers I hunt on won't allow me to use part of their fields for food plots. It'd be a great way to add some extra food for the season. Once most of the corn is harvested around here the ground gets worked and the waste grain is buried. Broadcasting seed on top would solve the loss of food. All it takes a little rain and it'll turn green. Has anyone tried this?

Sorry, hadn't been checking in regularly. Yeah, it'll work. Rye is one of the main ingredients in my Throw pro mix. A few other seeds that do well broadcast that I also use in it are turnips, rape, crimson clover, and white clover. One thing that you didn't mention that makes a big difference is to spray the area with roundup (glyphosate) before planting. Even if the area looks fairly clean with just a few small weeds to start, it will make a big difference in the end result.
