Default Props to one of our own - Doug Fisher

Just got 4 rods back from Doug yesterday. Two were total rebuilds, two were spot repairs. Some of the finest rod work I've seen. Doug completely reworked my prized Loomis frog rod, adding a few guides in the midsection to reduce line slap. Oughta get a little extra distance and better performance on the fight w/ this one now. He also reworked a Hicks custom rod and made a great stick better.

If any of y'all need rod work done I could not endorse anyone more heartily than Doug and his Pop's Custom Rodworks. Catch me on the water - I'd be proud to show off my new toys.

    peace,
    B

For once, we agree about something. My experience with Doug was unbelieveable. He actually would not let me pay him for replacing all the guides on a spinny pole I bought at one of the shows that gave me nuthing but problems (eyelets popping out). He was upset his supplier took too long to provide him the guides, so he did the work for free. I've got a spinny pole in action finally again and the work was beautiful. I am going to have him make me a custom rod, I need something to throw DD22's on where I can chuck them 70 yards like KVD claims he can.
    cheers,
    Steve

    Hey 31,
Look forward to having the opportunity to check out the work! Searched for him on the web without success-what is best way to contact Pop's Custom Rodworks?

    Thanks,

    James

I've used him and he's great. Is he on here somewhere?
