The Oregon Inlet fishing report from the captains in a nutshell is still really*good bites with gaffer size dolphin. *More importantly, many of the boats are starting to see really good catches of yellowfin tuna. *Rounding out the catch for the past few days are good numbers of cobia. *This weekends fishing should continue to provide solid catches.
Fight-n-lady, fishing out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center reports a great few days of gaffer sized dolphin. *The captain also had continuous yellowfin tuna bites – including one yellowfin tuna topping out at 75 pounds! *Also out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is the charter boat Dream Girl which reported excellent dolphin fishing as well, noting the fleet overall was finding really good numbers.
The Oregon Inlet charter boat High Return had excellent catches of dolphin and was able to find several yellowfin tuna for the crew. *The captain*of the charter Legacy reports a bit of wind on Wednesday that messed with the fishing a little bit. *Persistence paid off and the crew was able to land some nice gaffer dolphin and a nice 25 pound yellowfin tuna. *Legacy’s report for Thursday was far different conditions and the captain was able to locate some productive water with the dolphin more than willing to bite all day long.
The Oregon Inlet Fishing Report for the charter boats Pelican and Point runner was that excellent catches of dolphin and yellowfin tuna kept the crews busy. *The charter boat Rock Solid was able to target and hookup with a half dozen really nice cobia.
Skiligal reported some choppy conditions but the captain was able to find some great water along a color change and the move paid off. *The crew was kept busy with some great dolphin fishing.
The Oregon Inlet charter boat Trophy Hunter also encountered similar rough waters Wednesday but still made a run at the fish. *Early on the crew was able to catch a few nice yellowfin tuna and a half dozen gaffer sized dolphin. *As the morning wore on the weather didn’t improve and the crew called the day off early. *On Thursday, the weather was much better and the fishing reflected that. *They were able to find some scattered yellowfin tuna and dolphin throughout the day.
A-Salt a Pirates Cove charter boat initially headed south and were able to find some hungry dolphin right away. *Obsession, fishing out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center reports action that just didn’t stop. *The crew was constantly hooked up with dolphin all day.
