The difference being gar are native and the other two are not. If we kill all the snakeheads and carp who cares.

There has always been a 20 fish limit in Va waters on snakeheads. They fall under the non-native species(pg 17). I did infact call VDGIF regarding this limit few years back when there was a uproar on Facebook about the limit. The agent then told me that it is a 20 fish limit only in Va waters but they are planning on making unlimited in the near future.

That 20 fish limit also includes bow, snagging, gigging, grasping, and striking with any object. Not just rod and reel. This is just for Virginia waters. MD DNR has no limit set forth on snakeheads for Maryland waters.

I care, and I have to believe that most who post here care too. I'm not sure why you would post such a statement?

You saw I take it that they have found the snakeheads in the Chickahominy River and the latest is Occuquan Res. Apparently no need to worry about their demise at this point...

The reason they are not an issue is because they are being controlled. We need to keep them controlled. There are bigger issues than someone just wanting to go out and catch anything that swims. There is an ecosystem that has to be taken into consideration and the Northern Snakehead is an invader to the system.
