Sweet. How much $ is tied up in building your own custom rod?

I have built excellent rods ranging in price from $60.00 to $450.00. This particular rod was a bit more expensive than usual because I custom ordered some parts from Japan.

Very nice job. Cork work looks great, fitted nicely to the seat and trim rings. Epoxy on the thread wraps looks really nice also. I'm curious about the gold bands on/in the guide wraps, nice effect rather than a trim band at the end of the wrap.
