Default Are Gitzit Tube Baits Any Good

I bought a pack of them at Walmart. Some soft plastics arent up to snuff but I've been impressed with Arnie's stuff. These look OK. I plan to fish them a bit more in the next two months on the New.

I don't usually fish Tubes. I fished the bitsy tube on the ultra lite and also caught a giant musky on some salted up Tubes the first time I fished them, but I usually skip over them in favor of senko type worms.

Also, anyone own any Cashion Rods? I'm thinking of getting the XD to throw some deep divers and musky lures next year. They any good?

GitZit tubes are good baits, particularly for the smallmouth. I've been fishing them since the 80's. They used to be my go-to night bait. They work well on the New. However, they're not better than a Senko or Beaver. Probably as good, but not better.

They are superb baits - I've been using them for years. SM, LM, spots. You can buy them in bulk - 25, 50, and 100. Darn good value.

Yes, I have a Cashion rod and really like it. I have a 7-3 'frog' rod, and I've used it for frogs, traps and swimbaits.

I think they are very nice and competitive rod in that 150-200 price point.

I intend to buy more of the Cashion and Tatula rods over time. Those two are my new favorites and fit my budget of 1 to 2 new rods a year.

Thanks for the input. I might have to wait to try the tubes on the New. I will likely float Aylett to Walkerton on the Mattaponi this Saturday.

My brother won a Cashion rod in a tournament this year. It's a jig/worm rod. Loves it!
