Was no better on Kerr, Charlie. Caught stripers all day. No green fish. All 50,000 acres are chocolate milk.
I took a thumping on Smith today. Fished 8 hours for one bite and it was a striper. Water was fairly clear below Hales Ford, but cold @ 39ish. Above the bridge was dirty, but warmer @ 44ish. My tried and true float n fly wasn't happening down in the clear water. Two hours, no hits. Went up in the murky stuff and threw shadrap, spro little john MD, A rig and a jig. Swing and a miss.
I'm no KVD, but I can't remember the last time I zeroed on Smith. I fished the stuff I've been catching fish on in Feb for 25 years and never got a sniff. I have my biggest tourney of the year next Sat and I'm lost like last years' easter egg. Pre fishing thurs and fri. If it's no better than today I'm going to suck start my pistol.

Hopefully with the warmer weather this week things will start to improve. But, looks like it is going to cool off again next weekend. We need a stretch of warm weather with NO rain. Our club starts fishing on March 19th, hope it picks up by then.
