    Default Virginia Beach 4/8

Sorry for the late report, been in Florida for a few days.

Ran down to VB Friday night and had the yak in the water by 9pm. Slow fishing for the first few hours but eventually I found a couple schoolie stripers, then some tailor blues, and then finally a few trout up to 23". Jig and plastic caught the most fish. Pulled out at 4am and headed home for some sleep.

    Awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Are those being caught out in front of VA Beach, or are you fishing in Rudee or Lynnhaven areas? Just curious...I know the trout up in Lynnhaven took a hit a couple years back.

Inlets and rivers right now. In Summer I will fish the grass flats up the bay.

Virginia specks did take a huge hit, but they're bouncing back. Hopefully we'll get another mild winter this year so they can continue to grow.

Nice work. Good to see some specks being caught. Hopefully they will be back in numbers in the "Hot" Ditch this year, even though it will be plenty cold now unfortunately. Now just crossing my fingers for the puppy drum to return this summer in force.

Yeah I would love it if we got another swarm of pups like we had a few years ago. They were everywhere.

Shouldn't be long if they are cyclical like some people say. This year or next I would expect another good run of them.
