See the defined thermal line? This is typical on most smaller bodies of waters durning summer months. This pic was taken on Lake Caroline, a 270 acre lake. Additionally, as water temps rise the more lathargic bass become as a general rule. A suspending jerk bait or one that has a very slow rise is one of my go to lures in the heat of summer and even on high pressured lakes as well. If you're having trouble keeping up with summertime bass think about moving towards horizontal type presentations that can be worked slow! Good luck and God bless.
