    Default 11/25

My brother decided to take the boat to the Bay for some striper fishing last Friday and myself and Jake along with Eddie Griggs went along with him. We launched the boat around 7:15 and headed a little ways out in the Bay. Saw a group of boats and went near by. Was a slow start trolling along but after a little while we started marking some fish and then they started to bite. Fish were on the bottom in 40-45' of water. We caught a few shorts first then caught a few keepers. We caught them pretty good for about 2 hours then it kind of died. We moved a couple miles to where we could see some birds feeding and we broke out the bass tackle and started casting to them. This was a blast. Fish were busting schools of bait right around the boat. We caught a bunch more fish (throwing them back now) and finally called it a day around 4:00 when the fog started rolling in.

We caught most of our fish on Storm swimbaits either trolling or casting to them. We did catch 1 on a Stretch crankbait trolling but eventually took it off. They were hitting the swimbaits pretty good. Was the most fun I've had on the Bay in a long time. We had a couple fish around 31". Most were 26"-28". We had our 4 over 28" fish and had to throw a bunch back that we caught later over 28". Man it's tough to do that! lol But it was a pile of fun with my son and brother and good friend Eddie. Will be going again soon!

Cut the fillets in chunks and dipped them in House of Autry, egg, and then Panko. Deep fried them and oh were they delicious!

great job. i will be down doing the same next week on my boat if i have a crew...

We are told that we shouldn't judge all Muslims by the actions of an extreme few. Why can't we offer millions of law-abiding American gun owners the same consideration?
