Well we had a club tournament on Anna Saturday and then some striper fishing took place We headed down lake to hit a cut that we had saw a few big cruisers earlier in the week and started working a point and a few blew up on top of the water...of course 90% of the time its a carp or a catfish but you still have to do the obligatory toss your bait over there....threw my top water plug over there and woooooooommmm....bait disappears and huge explosion....it took about 3 seconds to realize..Houston this is not a bass.....hooked my first every striper on top water.......shortly after that we see some more fish breaking so stroll over there and throw my top water bait over there and proceded to have the best fish bite I've ever had....walking the bait back and it must have got hit 5/6 times and I've heard about the stripers "playing volleyball" with your bait but have never witnessed it before.....its about enough to make you give up bass fishing We proceeded to catch another one on top water after that one and also caught 5 more stripers so 8 for the day with 5 keepers..ohh, we caught some bass also but who cares about them, right

If you really want to get cardiac arrest, buy a Jackyl Mikey and fish some main lake shallow points with it about midnight. Not only big stripers, but the LM can't leave it alone. Yeah, yah, I know, that's a lot of money for a plug, but trust me on this one.
