    Default Hawksbill Creek

    Hello,

I am hoping to fish Hawksbill Creek once it is stocked this year. Is parking an issue along the route? I hope to ride over in the next few weeks to scout around.

Also what about the Robinson near Syria?

    Thanks,
    Kyle

Not sure on the first but the Robinson is well worth it. Flow and temp is going to be your biggest issue. I haven't checked them lately, but if it's like a lot of places it's low and warmer than desired.

Hawksbill creek in Luray?? There is plenty of parking, in fact there is a park n ride right off 211 beside the creek, with a paved walking trail called the Hawksbill Greenway, that follows the whole creek. Probably the most accessible creek to fish

Yep, tons of parking along Hawksbill and lots of spots to fish. It's my favorite out of the stocked trout creeks. The bigger pools always have fish, but the smaller, less obvious current breaks usually have more willing biters. There's largemouth and smallmouth in there too.

Thank you both for the insight.

I really appreciate the help on these areas. I am new to fishing public waters. most of my previous experience has been from private land.
