I have no experience with this lake; however.
Yea its the same way here IMO. Fall bite hit weeks slower than I was expecting. Thats really the only reason I asked. I didnt want to head up with fall fishin in mind, only to drop down lines and fish 20-30'.

I suspect the drought has something to do with this also........

See the recent posts from last SAT's Vets' Day event. They'll offer some insights. Lake is in a variety of stages right now. Only easy to read if you're on it ~every day.

I haven't been on Lake Anna this year, and haven't been on the water anywhere for over a month. I still haven't been been able to fine the stripers schooling on the upper Shenandoah.......

Tournament fisherman are the same everywhere in the country, the majority just arent going to give up whats working. That being said, 31 Airborne has it right. The bass are spread out throughout the water column right now and the bites are stingy. They havnt settled into a winter pattern yet, thats for sure. The striper bite is picking up now and will keep getting better. By Thanksgiving, I’d expect to find bait and striper all the way back in both river arms. I’m haveing fun perch jerking jumbo perch from the mouth of Pigeons creek to the splits. 32-35 feet of water is where I’m getting the larger ones. 1/2 oz vault blade bait, the white one and the chartreuse shad.
