That is an amazing shot. The bait is so perfectly stacked up on the structure. I never see anything that clearly on my SI.

Nice report. Sandy is a neat little fishery. I took the yak in there a few years back. I caught a nice one on a spinnerbait and found a 10XD while paddling around. It was a good day.

Once of the things I added to my yak from experience is a nice light for times I lose track of how much day light remains. Scotty and Yakattack sell nice ones.

Another nice place to take the yak on that side of the state is Morris Creek. I think it was last year I went there. I enjoyed the paddle and fishing. It was pretty easy getting back and forth despite the tidal water.

Thanks for the report! I tried to fish up there about a month or so ago and the boat ramp was closed (I fish out of a large aluminum flat-bottom)...ran over to Briery that day since I couldn't launch. Was the construction on the concrete ramp completed when you were there? I think I remember seeing it was supposed to be completed sometime this month.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Yak fishing. I agree that sometimes it's more convenient standing up, but my fuel bill has sure gone down.

If you don't mind getting a few scuffs on the bottom of your Ride, come on over to the S Fork of the Shenandoah, smallies are a blast in a yak.

That's exactly why we got them. More options for some family fun.
