Default Critter proof your Trail Camera

Another Dirtman idea. Can't find a security / bear proof trail camera box that fits YOUR particular camera......."Make one".
I went to Home Depot and picked up two regular apartment mailbox's.

Next....measure and cut the appropriate holes for camera lense (in front) and lock bar (on side). Drill two 1/4 holes thru the back for attaching to tree by going thru the access hole in the front. Pick up two 2 1/2" x 1/4" lag screws to go thru back holes.

Paint or cover with camo burlap. Spray liberally with Scent Blocker before placing in the woods.

Bolt /screw the camera to the tree, slide camera down inside, attach lock to sidebar and close. Bears have not destroyed either of my cameras. Theives will have a hard time getting it off the tree also.

Evidently, the bears in the woods have been conspiring to attack my new invention's. I went up this morning to retreive SD cards and install new batteries and this is what I found. Both camera boxes destroyed, but luckily the cameras were still good. Bast#$ds must have waited for the batteries to go dead, because there are NO pic's of them.
