I'll be hunting hogs on the ground in a fairly brushy area using a mossberg 500 12ga which is the better loads slugs out of a rifled barrel or buckshot out of my regular barrel and should it be choked ? I am comfortable with slugs having used them on deer in snow country but have no experience with buckshot.

    Thanks

you aint shooting it Striper....... Nature Shot is on a side note.... a pellet from an air rifle will take a hog if shot right behind the ear

Big Woods WMA anyone with experience in this place I guess all the WMA's are well used ? Maybe hunt during the week I'm retired and have that luxury.

    Thanks again

Hogs are way overrated as to their toughness. I've killed several with a 9MM, two with a .223 and one with a .308. Hunt with whatever you have that you can be 100% sure you can put the bullet where it needs to go and you will have no problems.
